Disinsection & disinfection.
Disinsection concerns insect control; disinfection addresses specified microorganisms on compatible surfaces. Cabin cleaning and surface disinfection do not fulfill an insect-treatment requirement.
EPA guidance states that aircraft cabins cannot receive pesticide disinsection treatment while the aircraft is in the United States or its airspace. Certain aircraft cargo-area uses are registered.
